The bookselling world is full of thorny personalities, idiosyncratic organizational systems, and slovenly showrooms. Kimmie was clearly an exception: a lover of literature who also loved order and tidiness, and valued the way a well organized shop created a democratic environment for all of its users. Unusual among booksellers, she liked people, too.
